The Sun Fire V1280 Server is a high performance, scalable workgroup server which accommodates up to twelve UltraSPARC III copper plated processors.
The Sun Fire V1280 can house up to twelve 64-bit UltraSPARC III Cu processors each with 8MB of Level 2 Cache. Up to 96GB of memory can be installed into this server.
The Sun Fire V1280 is a compact server, only 12 rack units high, supports up to two 36.4GB Ultra-3 SCSI internal disk drives, it has two integrated 10/100/1000Mbit/sec ethernet ports, one 160MB/sec Ultra-3 SCSI port and six short PCI slots.
