The HP Blade Server bc1100 is a complete Pentium III processor-based server on a blade, together with on-board storage. The Intel processor operates in a low-power-consumption mode, which lowers your ongoing cost of operation. The HP bc1100 has an on-board disk drive and built-in remote management circuitry. It is one slot wide, and up to 16 servers can be installed in the HP bh7800 chassis. The hp server will support both Microsoft Windows 2000 and Linux, giving customers a wide range applications and solutions from which to choose. The HP server bc1100 supports error checking and correcting (ECC) memory for resilience to memory errors, and dual LAN interfaces to enable a highly available infrastructure. The blade server is hot-swappable and complies with the PICMG 2.16 Compact PCI standard.
