The Sun StorEdgeTM A5X00 array family is our most popular Fibre Channel storage array available with over 4,000 terabytes of storage installed to date (as of October 1, 1999). As the building block of Sun's Intelligent Storage NetworkTM, the Sun StorEdge A5100/A5200 arrays provide the fibre channel backbone that is central to providing data services in the storage network.

The new model Sun StorEdge A5200 array accelerates access to information for our customers. The new model Sun StorEdge A5100 array uses high capacity 36-GB drives to deliver increased storage density. These arrays excel in applications demanding fast sequential access to data such as datawarehouse and decision support systems. Designed with a high degree of redundancy, the Sun StorEdge A5200 array also protects valuable information. The modular design supports storage growth from gigabytes up to terabytes as information storage demands increase.
