Fujitsu Primecluster Enterprise Server

PRIMECLUSTER offers an array of functions to make configuration and administration as easy as possible. Nevertheless, one of the greatest challenges in implementing successful cluster projects involves creating optimal hardware concepts and the error-free realization of these concepts. Errors in this area can lead to considerable problems and delays in productivity. To speed up project implementation and to eliminate the risk of errors, Fujitsu Siemens Computers has defined standard configurations for mySAP solutions based on the PRIMECLUSTER HA Server, different PRIMEPOWER models as well as Symmetrix and FibreCAT systems.

The definition is comprised of well-honed concepts for power supply, data backup, disaster recovery, network infrastructure and SAN-based I/O subsystem, all the way through to cabling, partitioning the servers, filling slots and building the racks for consoles, hubs and switches. All of these elements are tuned to work together in an optimal way.

The resulting configurations have been submitted to extensive global tests, with regard to the installation nd configuration, as well as failure and disaster test scenarios. Therefore the interaction of the individual building blocks has been optimized. This integration activity is rounded off by a tailor-made service offer, pre-installation of the entire configuration at the factory as well as specific installation and operation instructions.
